Christian Gerstenberger

Christian Gerstenberger is an experienced journalist currently serving as the Chefredakteur der Mediengruppe Westfälischer Anzeiger at IPPEN.MEDIA since April 2025. Prior to this role, Christian was the Leiter Lokalredaktion Dortmund at Lensing Media from April 2019 to March 2025, overseeing all channels for the Ruhr Nachrichten Dortmund, including web, app, social media, and print. Earlier positions include leadership roles in digital strategy and regional news at Westdeutsche Zeitung and various editorial positions at Funke Mediengruppe and Neue Ruhr Zeitung. Christian holds a Diplom in Journalistik from TU Dortmund University, earned between 1999 and 2006.
