Mahfuza Mousumi is a seasoned public health and program management professional with extensive experience in sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR) and maternal and child health (MNCH) across South Asia. Currently serving as a Programme Specialist at the United Nations Population Fund since September 2023 and as a Senior Technical Advisor at the International Planned Parenthood Federation since October 2020, Mahfuza has a proven track record in enhancing access and quality healthcare for marginalized populations. Previous roles include leadership positions at Jhpiego and Save the Children, where Mahfuza successfully scaled health programs and facilitated partnerships to strengthen health systems. With a clinical background as a physician and a solid foundation in public health and population sciences from the University of Dhaka, Mahfuza has consistently focused on policy advocacy, community health system strengthening, and capacity building within various health care frameworks in the region.
