Alexander Iliev

Alexander Iliev has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Alexander is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at ipQuants AG since September 2020. Prior to this, they worked at eGym as a Senior Software Engineer from May 2018 to September 2020.

Before joining eGym, Alexander worked at VMware for almost 7 years. Alexander held various roles including Senior MTS, where they developed an integrated solution for SDDC lifecycle management using Java, Spring, and Apache Cassandra. Alexander also contributed to automation systems for deploying and configuring a Software Defined Data Center system as prescribed by VMware.

Prior to VMware, Alexander worked at Playtech as a Senior Java Developer. Alexander worked on the backend of an online Poker service and an online Bingo game. Alexander also developed a Java Swing application for moderating chat channels in the Bingo game.

Earlier in their career, they worked at MaxTelecom as a Java Developer, where they designed and implemented supporting applications for billing systems. At Bianor, they served as a System Integration Engineer, integrating in-house developed applications and maintaining company infrastructure. Alexander also worked as a Java Developer at Bianor, contributing to the development of Java Swing and web applications.

Before Bianor, Alexander worked at Haemimont-Smartcom as a Java/.NET Developer, participating in the development of a Jamaica tourist information portal. Alexander started their career at Infoassist and Zographic Film as a Delphi Developer.

Throughout their career, Alexander has gained experience in a wide range of technologies including Java, Spring, JavaScript, Angular, Java Swing, JDBC, Servlets/JSP, Oracle Database, PostgreSQL, Linux, JBoss, Struts, Hibernate, Velocity, and more.

Alexander Iliev attended the following educational institutions:

1. Technological School "Electronic Systems" - from 1994 to 1999. Alexander studied Computer Software Engineering.

2. Technical University of Sofia - from 1999 to 2003. Alexander pursued a degree in Computer Systems and Technologies.

3. New Bulgarian University - from 2003 to 2006. Alexander studied Informatics and Telecommunication.

Additionally, Alexander obtained the LPIC-1 certification from the Linux Professional Institute in February 2007.
