Vasileios Vasileiadis has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as a Teaching Staff at Democritus University of Thrace from 1999 to 2009. During this time, they also worked as a Statistician, focusing on developing statistical signal processing algorithms for smart antenna set-ups and optimizing identification and estimation techniques for radar signals.
From 2001 to 2013, Vasileios founded and served as the CEO of a private educational institution called "Katefthinsi." Vasileios taught various Math courses to high-school students and enjoyed the interaction with both students and parents.
In 2013, Vasileios joined IBM Research - Zurich as a Quantitative Analyst. Here, they were responsible for developing a personalized recommender system for sales reps using machine learning techniques. Vasileios transformed statistical analysis into automated and insightful recommendation reasoning, identifying cross-sell opportunities and industry-specific buying patterns.
Subsequently, in the same year, Vasileios also worked as a Data Analyst at Democritus University of Thrace. Vasileios developed data mining techniques to study the effect of solar wind on the Earth's magnetosphere using observations from the Demeter Satellite. Vasileios used data fitting and statistical inference to derive new techniques for associating different physical phenomena.
Vasileios'smost recent position is as the CTO at ipQuants, starting in 2018.
Vasileios Vasileiadis has a Ph.D in Stochastic Signal Processing and Electrical and Computer Engineering from Democritus University of Thrace, Greece. Vasileios obtained this degree from 2001 to 2009. Prior to that, they were a Post Graduate Student at the same university from 1998 to 2000, specializing in Stochastic Signal Processing. Before entering graduate school, Vasileiadis earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, which they completed from 1994 to 1998.
