Dr Przemyslaw Szeptycki (Shamek)

Dr. Przemyslaw (Shamek) Szeptycki, MBA has a diverse work experience in the field of AI technologies and research and development. Dr Przemyslaw (Shamek) currently serves as the Vice President of Research at iProov. Prior to this, they worked at Migrant Leaders as a Mentor in 2021.

From 2020 to 2022, Dr. Szeptycki held the position of Head of AI Technologies at Vision RT Ltd, where they introduced AI technologies into the company's portfolio and implemented advancements in the AI research cluster.

Before that, they worked at Aurora-AI for several years, where they had various roles including Executive Head of Research and Development, Head of Research and Development, and R&D Project Leader/Manager, Researcher. In these roles, they planned R&D strategies, introduced cutting edge AI solutions, and led projects related to face recognition, predictive analytics, threat detection, and more.

Prior to joining Aurora-AI, Dr. Szeptycki worked at warwick warp as a Senior Scientific Programmer/R&D Team Leader, where they focused on fingerprint recognition SDK development. Dr Przemyslaw (Shamek) also worked as a Software Engineer at Tieto, where they developed server-based applications.

Throughout their career, Dr. Szeptycki has demonstrated expertise in AI technologies, research and development, project planning, team support, and mentoring.

Dr Przemyslaw (Shamek) Szeptycki, MBA has an extensive education history with various degrees in business administration, computer vision and facial biometrics, programming techniques and information systems, as well as software development.

Their educational journey started in 2001 when they enrolled at the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin. From 2001 to 2005, they pursued a degree in Software Development and successfully earned their Engineer degree in this field.

Furthering their education, Dr Szeptycki attended the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin from 2005 to 2007. During this period, they studied Programming Techniques and Information Systems and obtained a Master of Science degree.

In 2007, Dr Szeptycki continued their academic journey at Ecole centrale de Lyon. Dr Przemyslaw (Shamek) dedicated four years to their research on Computer Vision and Facial Biometrics, resulting in the completion of a PhD degree in this field in 2011.

Dr Szeptycki's thirst for knowledge didn't stop there. In 2020, they enrolled at the University of Warwick - Warwick Business School and began pursuing their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. This program has been ongoing and is expected to conclude in 2022.
