Tom Batten

Tom Batten, P.E. has a strong and extensive work experience in engineering and product development roles. Tom is currently serving as the Director of Engineering at IPS Corporation since December 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Product Development and Marketing at LASCO Fittings, Inc. from March 2018 to December 2021. Tom has also held positions such as Vice President of Product Development at Atrium Windows & Doors from 2014 to 2017, Director of New Product Development at PCB Piezotronics, Inc. from 2010 to 2014, and Director of Engineering at SP Scientific Products from 2009 to 2010. Additionally, they worked as the Director of Engineering at PGT Custom Windows + Doors from 2006 to 2009, Vice President of Engineering at Caldwell Manufacturing Company from 1995 to 2006, Director of Product Planning and Development at Thermo Fisher Scientific from 1993 to 1995, Director of Engineering at Bausch + Lomb from 1982 to 1993, and Manager of Manufacturing Engineering at KEMET Electronics Corporation from 1980 to 1982.

Tom Batten, P.E. graduated from Pittsford-Mendon High School in 1974 with a Regents Diploma. Tom then attended Georgia Institute of Technology from 1974 to 1978, earning a BS in Mechanical Engineering. In 1999, Tom pursued further education and obtained an MBA in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix from 1999 to 2001. Additionally, they hold certifications including a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification from Villanova University and is a Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Florida.
