Denis Collis

Denis Collis has been in the software engineering industry since 1986. Denis began their career at Hewlett-Packard as a Senior Software Support Engineer. In 1991, they moved to Intrinsic Technology as the CTO/Director of Software Engineering, where they led the software support division and was responsible for pre-sales and post-sales support, product evaluation and training, and development and integration of middleware, ancillary, and utility software. In 2002, they moved to Tecmed as a Development Engineer for PACS & RIS Systems. From 2004 to 2010, they worked at GridSmart as a Systems Developer, where they implemented energy performance modeling and analysis systems, developed smart grid web applications, and developed an online energy, water, and waste product and services sourcebook. Since 2014, they have been employed at IPS Group, Inc. as a Software Design Engineer, where they are responsible for embedded IoT software design and implementation for low-power, unattended, secure EMV contact and contactless payment terminals. Denis also manages EMV level 1 & 2, Mastercard, Visa, Amex and Discover approval processes.

Denis Collis attended the University of Cape Town from 1984 to 1986, where they earned a BSc in Mathematical Sciences. Denis then went on to pursue a MSc in Enterprise Architecture at Arden University, which they are expected to complete in 2023.
