Hugo Farías, CSM, PSM, PSPO

Hugo Farías is a CSM, PSM, and PSPO with over 30 years of experience in project management and software development. Hugo began their career in 1987 as a System Analyst Supervisor at British American Tobacco, where they developed and supported systems for various departments. In 1996, Hugo joined Alestra-AT&T as a Customer Care and Billing Systems Manager. While there, they managed the integration of legacy systems into a next-generation Customer Care and Billing system. In 2002, Hugo became a Consultant and Project Manager at Z10 Consultoria in Monterrey, Mexico. Hugo then moved to AN GLOBAL US in 2003, where they served as a Senior Project Manager and Scrum Master. In 2020, Hugo joined IPS Group, Inc. as a Technical Project Manager, managing multiple hardware, software, and firmware projects for the next generation of Single Space Parking Meter ecosystem.

Hugo Farías holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey. Hugo also has an MBA Update Program from UC Irvine in Strategic Issues in Management, obtained in 2010-2011. Farías also holds certificates from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México in Project Management and from Instituto de Mandos Intermedios in Business Administration. In addition, Farías has obtained several certifications over the years, including Coaching Skills for Leaders and Managers from LinkedIn in February 2020, Managing Project Stakeholders from LinkedIn in January 2020, Professional Scrum Product Owner I from Scrum.org in January 2020, Professional Scrum Master I from Scrum.org in October 2019, Certified Scrum Master (CSM) from Scrum Alliance in May 2017, and Project Management Professional (PMP) from Project Management Institute in September 2010.
