Kai Mirkes

Kai Mirkes currently serves as the Head of Tax Compliance at IQ-EQ since January 2024. Previously, Mirkes held the position of Senior Manager in Tax Compliance at KPMG Luxembourg from February 2021 to January 2024, following a role as Tax Manager at United - finance and trust services from June 2019 to February 2021. Mirkes has also worked at KPMG Luxembourg in various capacities, including Senior Tax Advisor and Tax Advisor, from October 2016 to June 2019, and was an Advisor within the TAX TPS VAT Department at PwC Luxembourg from October 2015 to September 2016. Earlier experience includes a position at Finanzamt, where Mirkes handled tax objections and oversaw tax returns, and served in the Bundeswehr for Grundwehrdienst. Mirkes holds a Diplom Finanzwirt degree in Tax Law/Taxation from Fachhochschule für Finanzen Edenkoben and a diploma in Luxembourg Taxation from Chambre des salariés Luxembourg.
