Sampo Saarinen is a Senior Quantum Engineer at IQM Quantum Computers since October 2021 and previously held the position of Quantum Engineer. Prior to this, Sampo Saarinen was a PhD student at the Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen, from April 2017 to September 2021, focusing on research in the Schliesser Lab/Center for Hybrid Quantum Networks. Sampo Saarinen's earlier experience includes multiple research assistant roles at Aalto University School of Science and Technology, where involvement ranged from experiments on heat transfer properties and nanoscale emulsions to investigations of carbon nanotubes for fuel cell applications. Sampo Saarinen has a Doctor of Philosophy in Physics from Københavns Universitet, a Master of Science in Theoretical Physics from the University of Helsinki, and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics/Applied Physics from Aalto University.
