Maya Rao

Maya Rao is a highly experienced professional in clinical research, currently serving as a Senior Clinical Research Associate at IQVIA since February 2020. In this role, Maya mentors new Clinical Research Associates and is responsible for site selection, initiation, monitoring, and close-out visits in accordance with good clinical practice. Previous positions at IQVIA include Clinical Research Associate II and Clinical Research Associate, where similar responsibilities were upheld. Maya began the career in clinical research as a Clinical Trial Assistant, supporting project leaders and ensuring compliance with clinical systems. Prior to IQVIA, Maya worked as a Medical Assistant at Aloe Dermatology and held various roles at UCSB, including Teaching Assistant and Student Representative. Maya holds a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from UC Santa Barbara, earned in 2018.
