Yann Jacob

Software / Machine Learning Engineer at iRaiser

Yann Jacob has worked in the software development and machine learning industry since 2009. In 2009, they began their PhD Student role at the Laboratoire d'Informatique de Paris 6, with a focus on Classification on large scale social networks, using neural networks. Yann had two main author publications in top Information Retrieval conferences (CIKM, WSDM). In 2010, they began their role as a Teaching Assistant at Engineering School Polytech Paris Sud, teaching OOP & Design Patterns (C++ / Java), Web (X)HTML, CSS, PHP, Javascript/JQuery, Security, and Web Project. In 2014, they began their Postdoctoral Researcher role at Rexel, in collaboration with the CRI research lab (Paris 1 Sorbonne), with a focus on Product recommendation based on customer profile clustering. Yann also began their role at iRaiser.eu as a Senior Software Development Engineer, where they were the owner and main contributor of the payment gateway microservice (PHP & symfony). This microservice was used by 3 iRaiser products, with hundreds of instances, and integrated 23 payment gateways APIs (Stripe, PayPal, Nets, etc). Additionally, they held a Machine Learning Researcher role at iRaiser.eu, with a focus on Prediction of click through rates for fundraising based on user navigation behavior. Yann had a scientific publication at CAp 2016.

Yann Jacob has been educated in the field of Informatique. Yann obtained their Engineer's degree from ENSIIE - École Nationale Supérieure d'Informatique pour l'Industrie et l'Entreprise in 2009. Yann is currently pursuing their Doctorat from Pierre and Marie Curie University.
