Prior to that, he was a partner and CEO of BRZ Investimentos, and held several leadership positions, including CEO of Icatu Hartford. He has been a member of the Board of Directors in several companies, including Icatu Seguros, Fiskar, Farol, Brasilcap, Caixa Capitalização, Grupo Docas, Caemi, Enersul, and Escelsa. He was a member of the Investment Committee of IRB Brasil RE from July 2008 to July 2010.
