Jonathan Muri is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute for Research in Biomedicine since February 2021, with prior experience in a similar role at ETH Zürich from October 2015 to January 2021. Jonathan obtained a PhD in Immunology from ETH Zürich, focusing on antioxidants and lipid oxidation's roles in regulating immune cell inflammatory responses and metabolic changes. Jonathan also has a Master's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from ETH Zürich. Additional experience includes an internship at Agroscope in 2015, working with the Bioinformatics and Proteogenomics Group.

The Institute for Research in Biomedicine was founded in 2000 with the clear and ambitious goal of advancing the study of human immunology, with particular emphasis on the mechanisms of host defense. Located in Bellinzona, capital of the italian-speaking region of Switzerland and at the foot of the alps, the IRB is both a research as well as teaching institute.
