Christian Mendez has extensive work experience in various roles related to product marketing, market intelligence, and strategy development. Christian began their career at Indatrop S.A. as a Sales Representative, where they led commercial activities and conducted market research and analysis. Christian then worked at Laboratorios Aleph S.R.L as a Junior Executive Manager, responsible for administrative, financial, and marketing activities.
In 2011, Christian joined Irdeto, starting as a Content Marketeer, where they supported the formulation and execution of the marketing plan and developed messaging and value proposition for the company's product portfolio. Christian later became a Market Intelligence Analyst, creating competitor profiles and leading campaigns to gain market share from competitors.
At Piksel Inc., Christian served as a Market Intelligence Analyst, introducing and developing the market intelligence culture within the company. Christian built an internal portal for storing and accessing market and competitive intelligence and led project management for various initiatives.
Returning to Irdeto in 2015, Christian held several positions, including Market Intelligence Analyst, where they supported the development of Market Attack Plans and global marketing campaigns. Christian then became the Global Head of Market Intelligence, responsible for building and leading a highly efficient team that covered all geographies and verticals. Christian designed and implemented market intelligence systems and tools.
Christian's most recent role at Irdeto was Chief of Staff in the Video Entertainment (VE) business unit, where they were involved in strategy development and project management to deliver strategic objectives.
Throughout their career, Christian has demonstrated a strong understanding of diverse markets, customer needs, and competitive differentiation. Christian has effectively developed and executed product marketing strategies and collaborated closely with cross-functional teams.
Christian Mendez has a diverse education history that spans across different fields and programs. In 2002, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from UCB - Sede Cochabamba. Christian further pursued their studies and obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Management, Economics and Consumer Studies (Marketing specialisation) from Wageningen University & Research between 2010 and 2012. In 2017, they attended the Academy of Competitive Intelligence LLC and became a Certified Intelligence Professional (CIP-I) with a focus on Market and Competitive Intelligence. In 2018, they enrolled in the Building On Talent (BOT) program offered by IMD, which provided him with expertise in management and leadership. Christian also completed a Growth Hacking Crash Course at Growth Tribe during the same year, focusing on marketing.
