Daniel van der Veen

Daniel van der Veen has a diverse work experience in project and program management roles. Daniel is currently working at Irdeto as a Program Manager and head of IT Project Delivery on an interim basis. Prior to this, they worked at Just Eat Takeaway.com as a Program Manager from September 2020 to June 2022.

Before that, Daniel held an interim Project Manager role at Irdeto from July 2018 to August 2020. Daniel also worked as an interim Project Manager at GVB from January 2017 to March 2018.

Daniel's experience includes an interim IT Project Manager role at AerCap from December 2015 to December 2016, where they handled the outsourcing of the company's data center and managed various infrastructure projects. Daniel also implemented Kanban as a way of working for IT Operations teams using Jira.

Prior to their interim roles, Daniel worked at ABN Amro as an interim Project Manager from September 2015 to December 2015, and at IBM as an interim Project Manager from March 2015 to September 2015.

Daniel also took a sabbatical from April 2014 to December 2014. Their earlier experience includes a Project Manager role at ING from April 2010 to April 2014, where they managed various business and IT projects. Daniel also served as an International Management Trainee at ING from April 2009 to March 2010, where they gained exposure to different projects and was mentored by an IT board member.

Before joining ING, Daniel worked as a Business Analyst at ING DIRECT US from January 2008 to January 2009.

Daniel van der Veen has a strong educational background. Daniel obtained a Master of Science degree in Business Studies from the University of Amsterdam, where they studied from 2005 to 2009. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Business Mathematics & IT from NHL Hogeschool from 2001 to 2005.

In addition to their formal education, Daniel has also pursued various certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. Daniel obtained the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification from UPD in August 2021. In October 2020, they earned the Certified SAFe® 5 Agilist certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. Daniel also holds the Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals certification from Microsoft, which they achieved in August 2020. Furthermore, they obtained the Professional Scrum Master™ I (PSM I) certification from Scrum.org in April 2014. In February 2014, they achieved the Duolingo Spanish Fluency: Intermediate (Estimated) certification from Duolingo. Other certifications include Power of Influence from Bureau Zuidema in October 2012, Prince2 Practitioner from APMG-International in December 2010, P3O Foundation from APMG-International in December 2009, ITIL Foundation from APMG-International in August 2009, Prince2 Foundation from APMG-International in July 2009, and Statistical Analyst A from VVS-OR in August 2005.
