M.D. abu Faisal

Md. Abu Faisal, PhD has a diverse range of work experience in the field of software development and project management.

Md. Abu is currently working as a Senior Software Developer at Irdeto.

Prior to this, they worked as a Graduate Research Fellow (Ph.D. Candidate) and a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Queen's University. Md. Abu also held a Work-Study position as a Website Developer at the university.

Before joining Queen's University, Md. Abu Faisal worked at Divine IT Limited as a Project Manager, where they successfully completed several government projects related to secure gas billing and payroll systems. Md. Abu also worked on projects involving VoIP dialer, VPN and data compression service, authentication service, and unified messaging service. Md. Abu had the responsibility of communicating with stakeholders, product owners, and customers to understand product requirements and translate them into features. Md. Abu also contributed to the deployment and management of the company's code repository and led and mentored teams of varying sizes.

In addition, they had a brief stint as a Lecturer at Prime University.

Md. Abu Faisal started their career as a Software Developer in an outsourcing company, where they worked for several years.

Md. Abu Faisal, PhD, obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in the field of School of Computing from Queen's University. Md. Abu completed this degree from 2017 to 2022.

Prior to their PhD, Faisal pursued a Master's Degree in Information and Communication Engineering from Rajshahi University, Bangladesh. Md. Abu attended this program from 2008 to 2009.

Before their Master's Degree, Faisal completed their Bachelor's Degree in Information and Communication Engineering from Rajshahi University, Bangladesh. Md. Abu obtained this degree from 2004 to 2008.
