Senior Embedded Software Engineer at Irdeto

Olivier Penalver has a diverse and extensive work experience. Olivier currently works as a Senior Software Engineer at Irdeto starting from April 2022. Previously, they worked as an Embedded Software Engineer at Thales Digital Identity and Security (ex Gemalto) from October 2019 to April 2022. Before that, Olivier worked at Scalian as an Embedded Software Engineer from June 2018 to October 2019, where they developed embedded automotive software and led the development of a LED matrix driver. Prior to that, they worked as a Research Engineer at CNRS - French National Center for Scientific Research from September 2016 to June 2018, where they developed an automatic vibratory phenotyping system for plants. Olivier also had a personal project as an Electronic Developer in 2015, where they designed and developed a sound reactive LED strip. Olivier also gained experience through internships, including an internship as a Project Manager at Sunna Design from April 2015 to August 2015. Olivier also interned as a Study Engineer at Auckland University of Technology from June 2014 to September 2014, where they implemented an angle stabilization algorithm for a quadricopter. Additionally, they worked as a Robotic Developer at ENSIL Robotik (association) from September 2013 to June 2014, where they participated in the robotic cup of France and worked on CAD design and proportional derivative control for robots.

Olivier Penalver attended the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Ingénieurs de Limoges from 2013 to 2015, where they obtained a Diplôme d'ingénieur in Engineering with a specialization in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation. In the same year, they also pursued a Master 1 ACSYON degree at the Université de Limoges, focusing on Applied Mathematics. Additionally, Olivier obtained a certification in C++ programming from OpenClassrooms in April 2019.
