Sifiso Gasa

Sifiso Gasa has a diverse work experience in the field of information security and network engineering. Sifiso currently holds the position of Infrastructure Security Engineer at Irdeto since March 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Network Automation Specialist at Irdeto from October 2019 to July 2021.

Before joining Irdeto, Gasa worked at Performanta Group as an Information Security Consultant, Product Lead for Tufin Orchestration Suite, and Information Security Analyst. During their time at Performanta Group from June 2015 to August 2019, they were responsible for project documentation, management, configuration, troubleshooting, and fault finding.

Gasa also worked at Dimension Data as a Network Security Engineer from April 2014 to May 2015, where they focused on projects and provided assistance with security incident handling. Prior to that, they worked at the Financial Intelligence Centre as a Network Security Administrator from April 2013 to August 2014, where they were responsible for securing the network and investigating threats.

Gasa's career in network security began at Dimension Data Middle East and Africa in February 2009, where they started as a junior network engineer and eventually became the sole security engineer at Dimension Data KZN from November 2011 to September 2012.

Sifiso Gasa completed their education at the Durban University of Technology from 2006 to 2009, obtaining a National Diploma in Information Technology with a focus on Development Software and Information Systems. Prior to that, they attended Damelin in 2005 and 2006, where they pursued PC engineering. Sifiso Gasa also holds additional certifications such as "Communicating with Confidence," "Writing a Proposal," "Motivating and Engaging Employees," "Business Analysis Foundations," "Delegating Tasks to Your Team," and "New Manager Foundations" from LinkedIn, obtained between 2017 and 2018. In addition, they obtained the "Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)" certification from (ISC)² in February 2017.
