Ziyaad Asvat

Ziyaad Asvat is currently serving as the Chief Finance Officer at the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) since December 2019. Prior to this role, Ziyaad worked as a Finance Officer at IRENA and held various positions such as Portfolio Accounting Specialist and Finance Analyst at UNOPS. Ziyaad also has experience as an Audit manager at Auditor General South Africa and Auditor General of South Africa. Additionally, he worked as a Reporting Accountant at Group RCI and as a Trainee Accountant/Audit Senior at SizweNtsaluba VSP. Ziyaad holds a Honours Bachelor of Accounting Science (CTA) from the University of South Africa and a Bachelor of Accounting from the University of Johannesburg.
