Elaine Cannizzaro

Elaine Cannizzaro has a long and varied work experience. Elaine began their career in 1999 as the Director of Operations at Whale Communications, a high-tech internet security start-up company. Elaine was the fourth employee hired and played a key role in growing the company to over 40 employees before it was sold to Microsoft. In 2006, they joined Vital Decisions as the Director of Product Management and Director of Counseling Operations. In this role, they were responsible for maintaining and enhancing the company's product, collaborating with experts in the field to incorporate the latest updates in research, rolling out changes to the counseling methodology, training, and tracking systems, and supervising a staff of 5-12 healthcare counselors in day-to-day operations. In 2013, they became the CEO of EMC Consulting LLC, providing consulting services geared toward start-up and small business. In 2018, they took on the role of Vice President Operations at Iris Plans.

Elaine Cannizzaro received their BA in Communications from William Paterson University of New Jersey between 1984 and 1988. Elaine then went on to receive their MA in Psychology and Counseling from Goddard College between 2004 and 2006. In 2017, they completed their Licensed Massage Therapy from the Institute of Therapeutic Massage, specializing in Massage Therapy/Therapeutic Massage.
