Abdul Afram

Abdul Afram is a highly skilled Sr. Hardware/Firmware Developer with extensive experience in embedded systems design and development, particularly in the context of rotating machine parameter measurement at IRIS POWER LP. With a background in high-speed FPGA data acquisition and microcontroller firmware, Abdul has contributed to the development of condition monitoring equipment for turbine and hydroelectric generators. Previous roles include Postdoctoral Fellow and PhD Candidate at Ryerson University, where Abdul engaged in research related to sustainable housing and control systems. A lecturer in mechatronics and automation, Abdul has also worked as a design engineer and research assistant, focusing on various projects in HVAC systems and industrial automation. Abdul holds a PhD in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering from Ryerson University, an MSc in Mechatronics Engineering from Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology, and a BE in Mechatronics Engineering from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST).
