Shane McCarthy

Shane McCarthy is an accomplished professional in the cement and mining industries, currently serving as Plant Manager at Irish Cement Limited since September 2014, where responsibilities include leadership and direction for plant operations, ensuring alignment with business objectives and sustainability. Prior to this role, Shane held positions as Production Manager and Quarry Manager within the same company, focusing on production planning, health and safety, and employee engagement. Shane's experience also includes serving as Senior Process Engineer at Tronox and SGS, as well as a Metallurgist/Metallurgical Supervisor. Shane holds a Bachelor of Engineering Degree (Hons) in Chemical and Process Engineering from Munster Technological University, obtained between 2003 and 2007.
