Valerie Smith

Valerie Smith is currently the Public Engagement Lead at Irish Hospice Foundation. Previously, Valerie has worked as a Community Facilitator at The Center for Mind-Body Medicine, a Grants Specialist at Yamagawa Nonprofit Consultancy, and in various roles at organizations like Long Beach Community Acupuncture and Eclipse Co-Creations. Valerie has also been involved in advocacy and outreach work with organizations like Long Beach Forward and Food & Water Watch. With a background in Spanish and Political Science from California State University-Dominguez Hills, as well as additional education in Divinity and Death Midwifery, Valerie brings a diverse skill set to her work in community engagement and nonprofit development.
