Deirdre Moore

Deirdre Moore is a highly experienced financial professional who currently serves as an Assurance Board Member at Irish Life. Prior to this, they spent over two decades in various leadership roles in finance and accounting with companies such as MetLife, Aviva plc, and Friends First.

Deirdre began their career in 1990 as a Financial Accountant with Irish Life & Permanent. Deirdre quickly rose through the ranks and by 1996 was serving as Group Reporting Manager for Friends First. In 2003, they made the move to Aviva plc, where they spent three years as Global Finance Transformation Change Manager before being promoted to Director of Internal Reporting for Aviva Europe in 2006.

In December 2012, Deirdre joined MetLife as Vice President - CFO Western Europe Markets. In this role, they were responsible for the financial operations of MetLife's businesses in Ireland, UK, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Poland. Deirdre remained with MetLife until November 2021.

Deirdre has a proven track record of success in complex financial environments and is highly respected within the industry. Deirdre is a qualified chartered accountant and holds a degree in Business Studies from Trinity College Dublin.

Deirdre Moore has a certificate in directors duties and responsibilities from ACA, an ACCA diploma in IFRS from ACCA, and a BSc in business information technology from Trinity College Dublin. Deirdre is also a FCCA in accountancy from Dublin Business School and Maryfield College.
