Fearghal O'Hare is a Director of Software Development and IT Engineering at Irish Manufacturing Research, where Fearghal leads the software development team and serves as a senior system and software architect. Prior to this, Fearghal worked at Intel for over 10 years in various roles including Application Developer, Business Analyst, and Intern Automation Engineer. Fearghal holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from University College Dublin and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Queen's University Belfast.

Irish Manufacturing Research is a government sponsored initiative that supports the Irish Manufacturing Sector to adopt cutting edge technologies in order to retain a competitive edge in a globalised environment. We work directly with industry partners to de-risk specific elements of emerging technologies. We de-risk new technology for industry. Due to the novelty of the technology IMR enables industry to address Challenges that no-one has solved before. However, because we are so close to industrial application of these technologies, we have to make sure what we do works, that it is suitable for an established company and it has a reputation and existing production streams to protect.
