Michele Gough Baril has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over three decades. Michele is currently the Founder and CEO of Iris&Romeo since February 2018. Before that, they founded Heart&Soul Branding in December 2012, where they worked as a Brand Strategist, focusing on purpose-driven strategy and storytelling to help businesses grow and make a social impact.

From August 2004 to November 2012, Michele served as the Vice President of Brand & Consumer Engagement at Smashbox Cosmetics (Estee Lauder Companies). Michele played a key role in the brand's growth, leading brand positioning, storytelling, media, and digital marketing strategies. Their efforts helped establish the brand's digital leadership and ultimately led to its acquisition by Estee Lauder Companies in 2010.

Prior to their tenure at Smashbox Cosmetics, Michele worked as a Marketing Consultant at Forward Creative Group from April 2001 to February 2005. During this time, they developed a successful approach to providing strategic marketing development, brand identity, and copywriting services for fashion and beauty brands. Michele also led projects and managed teams, working closely with clients to identify ways to expand their businesses.

In 1999, Michele held the position of Director of Marketing at BuzzOnCampus, and from 1996 to 1999, they worked as a Fashion Editor and Stylist for various British and US women's publications, including Marie Claire, Elle, Vogue, The Face, Access Hollywood, and Fox TV. Michele had the opportunity to work with celebrity clients such as Kirsten Dunst, Cameron Diaz, and Charlize Theron.

Michele's career began in 1991 as the Creative Marketing Manager at Sebastian International, where they worked until 1996.
