Maxwell Houghton

Maxwell Houghton has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Maxwell most recently worked as a Federal Account Manager at Iron Bow Technologies, starting in 2023. Prior to that, they were a Federal Account Executive at Swish from 2022 to 2023, where they executed mission-aligned strategies to solve government end user technology challenges. Maxwell also supported various government agencies in executing their missions with technology manufactures in cyber, performance engineering, data science, and IT modernization verticals.

Before joining Swish, Maxwell worked at Colossal, LLC from 2019 to 2022. Maxwell held various roles including Sr. Account Executive DOD/System Integrators, Inside Sales Manager, Account Executive, and Inside Sales Representative. In these roles, they managed sales cycles, forecasted sales team pipelines, reviewed quotes and proposals, conducted performance reviews, and onboarded/train new team members. Maxwell also assisted in capturing new and existing business within DOD and civilian accounts and maintained knowledge of technologies relating to OSI layers. Maxwell held an Active Top Secret Clearance during this time.

Prior to Colossal, Maxwell worked briefly as a Technical Recruiter at Latitude Inc in 2019. In this role, they were responsible for the full life cycle recruiting process and recruited and placed cleared consultants.

Earlier in their career, Maxwell held a role as a Security Manager at Terrapins Turf from 2016 to 2019, where they focused on ensuring security measures were implemented effectively. Maxwell also had an internship experience at Athletes Go Pro- Staffing Services in 2018.

Throughout their career, Maxwell has developed a diverse skill set that includes sales, account management, recruiting, and security management.

Maxwell Houghton's education history is as follows:

From 2016 to 2019, Maxwell attended the University of Maryland, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics.

In 2020, Maxwell enrolled at Anne Arundel Community College, where they are currently pursuing an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree in Networking, Information Assurance and Cybersecurity.

Before attending the University of Maryland, Maxwell briefly attended Queens University of Charlotte in 2015-2016, although they did not complete a degree or specify a field of study.

In addition to their formal education, Maxwell has also obtained various certifications. In January 2019, they became certified in Cybersecurity (CC) by (ISC)². In October 2022, Maxwell obtained a certification called "Kickoff Waterfall" from the Project Management Institute. Maxwell also holds a CompTIA IT Fundamentals (ITF+) certification from CompTIA since May 2022. Other certifications include HPE Sales Certified - Aruba Products and Solutions from Hewlett Packard Enterprise (September 2021), ITILv4 Strategist Direct, Plan, and Improve from AXELOS Global Best Practice (June 2021), ZCCA-IA Zscaler Certified Cloud Administrator from Zscaler (April 2021), ITIL Foundation Level v4 from AXELOS Global Best Practice (February 2021), Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (ICGB) and Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification from Management & Strategy Institute (January and September 2021 respectively), and Project Management Essentials Certified from Management & Strategy Institute (September 2020). Additionally, in January 2019, Maxwell obtained the SIE certification from FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority).
