Derek Williamson

Derek Williamson is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in operations and management within the mining and civil industries. Currently serving as Chief Operating Officer at Iron Mine Contracting since February 2016, Derek has previously held significant positions including Executive General Manager Civil and Crushing and General Manager at Western Plant Hire from June 2013 to February 2016. At Fortescue Metals Group, from March 2011 to June 2013, Derek was responsible for overseeing negotiation and commercial management of Heavy Mobile Equipment Contracts for a substantial mining fleet acquisition. Derek began their career as Owner Operator at Holleton Farms from February 1999 to May 2007. Educationally, Derek holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Murdoch University, complemented by studies at Aquinas College in Western Australia.
