Ella Neyland

Ella Neyland is the current Chief Operating Officer at Independence Realty Trust. Prior to their current position, Ms. Neyland served as the founder and Chief Financial Officer for Thin Centers MD from January 2010 to December 2011. In this role, they were responsible for providing medically supervised weight loss programs in conjunction with the Zerona laser. The first clinic opened in May 2011 with 15 more scheduled to open in the next 12 months.

Before their time with Thin Centers MD, Ms. Neyland worked as the Executive Vice President, Treasurer, and Investor Relations for UDR from January 2001 to December 2004. As a key member of the new management team, they were responsible for all capital market transactions, banking relationships, and presentations to investors and Wall Street analysts. During their time with UDR, Ms. Neyland helped issue and restructured over $2 billion of debt and equity, saving $40 million annually in interest expense. Ella was also a voting member of the Investment Committee that approved repositioning of over $3 billion of investments. Thanks to their efforts, UDR received an upgrade on their rating from the Rating Agencies.

Ms. Neyland has also been a member of the Urban Land Institute since 2001. Ella currently resides in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Ella Neyland has a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Trinity University.
