Karen Gee has over 20 years of experience in marketing and public relations. From 1991 to 1999, they worked as a Marketing Director for Madison Marquette and The Irvine Company, overseeing the marketing of retail shopping centers. From 2004 to 2008, they served as the Director of Marketing for the Arts Council for the City of Long Beach, where they managed branding efforts, fundraising, and special events. From 2008 to 2012, they were the Director of Marketing for the Muzeo Foundation, responsible for promoting museum exhibitions and integrating art into the urban setting. From 2012 to 2014, they served as the Executive Director of the Moonlight Cultural Foundation, managing a $2 million budget and engaging with donors and community leaders. Since 2015, Karen has operated their own public relations and marketing company. In 2019, they joined the Irvine Company as the Director of Retail Marketing, where they lead brand development and strategy for 38 shopping centers.
Karen Gee has pursued a Master's level course study in Psychology at California State University, Fullerton. Prior to this, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Communications at the same university. Karen also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Northern Arizona University, where they specialized in General Education.
