Matt Alexander has a diverse work history, starting with their role as an Electrician at Irving Paper in 2000. Matt then progressed to become an E&I Team Leader before assuming the position of Assistant Maintenance Superintendent, where they provided direction, coaching, and development plans for their team. In 2010, they joined Irving Tissue as a Project Supervisor (Electrical). Later, they joined Irving Tissue again in 2012 and took on various roles, including 4T Machine Manager and TAD Value Stream Operational Manager. In 2017, they moved to Irving Tissue's sister company, Irving Consumer Products, where they held the position of Project Technical & Commissioning Lead. Currently, they serve as the Project Manager - Tiger 2 and Director of Engineering at Irving Consumer Products.
Matt Alexander completed an Electrical Apprenticeship in Industrial Electrician (Red Seal) from 2000 to 2003 in New Brunswick. Before that, they pursued a degree in Industrial Control Technologist with a focus on Electrical/Instrumentation from NBCC between 1997 and 2000.
