Alvin McQuarters is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in managing and directing IT systems across various organizations. Since August 2009, McQuarters has served as the Chief Technology Officer for the Irving Independent School District, overseeing strategic planning and technology implementation districtwide. Previous roles include Division Director of Technology Services, where responsibilities encompassed managing devices for students and staff, and Director of Infrastructure and Information Systems, overseeing the district’s IT network and data center. Prior to joining the Irving Independent School District, McQuarters held leadership positions at Prodea Systems, Sonus Networks, Telecom Technologies Inc., and NEC, where expertise ranged from product development to software engineering management. McQuarters holds a Master’s Degree in Information Technology Management from The University of Texas at Dallas and dual undergraduate degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and Math/Computer Science from Tougaloo College.
