Julia Lafond

Julia LaFond is a dedicated professional in the field of communication sciences and disorders, currently serving as a Speech Language Pathologist Intern at Irving Independent School District since August 2022. Julia gained valuable experience as a Graduate Clinician at Baylor Scott & White Health and Dallas Independent School District between January and December 2022. Previously, Julia contributed as a Research Assistant at the UT Dallas Callier Center for Communication Disorders, focusing on how children with cochlear implants develop communication skills and self-esteem. Additional roles include Graduate Clinician at Rochester Institute of Technology's National Technical Institute for the Deaf and Research Assistant for the Language in Motion Lab at The University of Texas at Dallas. Julia holds a Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from The University of Texas at Dallas and a Bachelor of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the same institution, along with experience in promoting sustainability on campus.
