Dan Pastirik

Dan Pastirik has extensive experience in process safety management and engineering, currently serving at Irving Oil Refining since January 2013 after holding key roles since July 2002, including Process Safety Management Group Leader and Area Technical Manager. Dan's expertise encompasses governance, oversight, and the development of process safety management programs across multidisciplinary operations. Prior experience at Syncrude Canada Limited from 1987 to 2002 includes positions as Operations Leader and Senior Contact Engineer, focusing on refining operations and performance optimization. Dan holds a Master's in Business Administration with a specialization in Natural Resources from the University of Alberta, a 4th Class Certification in Power Engineering, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of New Brunswick.
