Eric H. Hanson MD, MPH

Eric H. Hanson MD, MPH has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Eric H. is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at International Scientific Advisors (ISA), a Techstars portfolio company that helps biomedical companies accelerate their medtech and biopharma products to federal and international markets.

In addition to their current role, Eric is the Founder and CEO of Tier Seven since 2011. Eric H. has also worked as a Scientific Advisor for multiple companies since 2012.

Eric has contributed to the field of medical informatics and clinical epidemiology as an Affiliate Associate Professor at the Department of Medical Informatics and Clinical Epidemiology in OHSU since 2013. Eric H. has also worked as a Consultant and Prime Contractor for TechLink since 2013, assisting with licensing DoD technologies to industry and identifying SBIR opportunities.

Eric has demonstrated their interest in the bioscience industry as an Advisory Board Volunteer for the Oregon Translational Research and Development Institute (OTRADI) Bioscience Incubator (OBI), providing entrepreneurial mentoring and facilities to bioscience startups.

Previously, Eric served as an Associate Professor of Health Physics and Diagnostic Sciences at the University of Nevada Las Vegas from 2010 to 2019.

Eric has also made contributions to community service as the President of the Board of Directors for the St. Andrew Foundation, a nonprofit organization that administers scholarship funds and funding for service-oriented activities.

Eric H. Hanson MD, MPH has a diverse education history. Eric H. began their studies at Sunset High School, where they completed their secondary education from 1980 to 1984. Afterward, they attended Oregon State University from 1984 to 1988, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a focus on Pre-Medicine.

Following their undergraduate studies, Hanson proceeded to the Uniformed Services University, where they pursued their medical education. From 1988 to 1992, they studied at the university and obtained their MD degree, specializing in Medicine.

Subsequently, in 1998, Hanson enrolled at The Johns Hopkins University, focusing on Epidemiology with a concentration in Genetics. Eric H. completed their Master of Public Health (MPH) degree at Johns Hopkins in 1999.

In addition to their academic achievements, Hanson has obtained the Tier Seven VIP Recertification as a SDVOSB (Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business) from the US Department of Veteran Affairs, Center for Verification and Evaluation (CVE) in November 2014.
