Géssika Fonseca Assy

Géssika Fonseca Assy has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Géssika currently works for isaac as an Information Security GRC and Data Protection Officer since January 2023. Prior to that, they served as a Data Protection Officer at isaac from May 2022 to December 2022. Géssika worked as a Legal Specialist at Petlove from May 2021 to May 2022. From 2019 to 2021, they worked at Opice Blum, Bruno e Vainzof Advogados Associados, starting as a Junior Lawyer in Privacy and Data Protection from August 2019 to December 2019. Géssika then progressed to become a Lawyer in Privacy and Data Protection from January 2020 to September 2020, and finally served as a Senior Lawyer in the same field from September 2020 to April 2021. Géssika was also a Guest Professor at Opice Blum Academy from November 2019 to February 2020. Before that, they worked as an Associate Lawyer at Santos Bevilaqua Advogados from November 2017 to August 2019. In 2016, they worked at Mascarello Advogados, where they had multiple roles including Civil Litigation Lawyer, Auditor Lawyer, and Lawyer from August 2016 to October 2017. Géssika started their career as an Intern at the Ministry of Public Prosecutors of the State of Minas Gerais from August 2011 to March 2014.

Géssika Fonseca Assy has a strong educational background in the field of law, particularly specializing in digital law and data privacy. Géssika holds a Bachelor's degree in Law from the Universidade Federal de Uberlândia - UFU, which they obtained between 2010 and 2014.

In 2019, Géssika further expanded their expertise by completing an extension program at Data Privacy Brasil, specializing in Privacidade e Proteção de Dados (Privacy and Data Protection). Géssika continued their education at the same institution in 2022, obtaining an advanced Curso avançado de privacidade e proteção de dados (Advanced Course in Privacy and Data Protection). Additionally, they completed the Curso Relatório de Impacto e Risco - Turma 5 (Impact and Risk Assessment Course - Class 5) at Data Privacy Brasil in 2022.

Recently, in 2020, Géssika pursued further professional development by enrolling in an extension course at Leonardi Legal Learning, focusing on Fundamentos do Direito Digital (Fundamentals of Digital Law).

Aside from their formal education, Géssika Fonseca Assy has also obtained several certifications to validate their expertise in data protection and privacy. Géssika became a Certified Data Protection Officer BR (CDPO/BR) and achieved the Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) certification from the IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals in 2023. In 2022, they obtained a certification in Curso avançado de privacidade e proteção de dados (Advanced Course in Privacy and Data Protection) from Data Privacy Brasil. Additionally, they completed the Curso Relatório de Impacto e Risco - Turma 5 (Impact and Risk Assessment Course - Class 5) from the same institution in 2022.
