D.C. Grant is a CISSP and CISM with a diverse work experience in the cybersecurity field. They have served as an Assistant Teaching Professor at the University of Washington since 2015. Additionally, they have held leadership roles at ISACA as the Mt. Rainier Chapter President and at ISSA as the Mt. Rainier Chapter Vice President. D.C. Grant has also worked as an Assistant Professor of Cyber Security at Columbia Basin College, where they developed and delivered curricula for the Bachelor of Applied Science in Cyber Security program. They have interned at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, focusing on cyber security research. Furthermore, they have gained practical experience as an IT Systems Admin at Topia Technology and as an Adjunct Professor at Highline Community College. Their educational background includes a BS in Information Technology and Systems from the University of Washington Tacoma, where they graduated Magna Cum Laude. Additionally, D.C. D.C. Grant - CISSP, CISM obtained a Master of Infrastructure Planning and Management degree in Critical Infrastructure Protection from the University of Washington in 2014. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from the same university from 2010 to 2012. In 2000, they obtained a Certificate in Management in Technology Companies from the University of Washington. D.C. Grant also attended San Diego State University from 1986 to 1992, studying Industrial Technology, Energy Studies, Political Science, and Economics. Furthermore, they spent their first year of college studying Mechanical Engineering at Washington State University in 1983-1984. Additionally, they obtained the Certified Information Security Manager certification from ISACA in 2005 and the Certified Information Systems Security Professional certification from (ISC)² in the same year.
