Hugh Tallini

Hugh Tallini currently serves as the Head of FX and Futures Options Trading at iSAM since January 2024. Prior to this role, Tallini worked at UBS from November 2013 to December 2023 as the Head of FX Options Quant Trading. Earlier experience includes positions at BNP Paribas as Head of FX Options Quant Development and Quant Developer, focusing on counterparty credit risk, from June 2004 to October 2013. Hugh's academic background includes a post-doctoral researcher role at Imperial College London from 2002 to June 2004, where involvement in the search for the Higgs boson at CERN took place. Additionally, Tallini held the position of Head of Global Network Management Systems at Cable & Wireless Global from 1999 to 2002 and worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Liverpool from 1997 to 1999, concentrating on DESY Hamburg. Educational qualifications include a BSc Hons in Physics from the University of Birmingham (1990-1993) and a PhD in High Energy Physics from the University of Liverpool (1994-1997).
