Arthur Iinuma

President & Co-Founder at ISBX

Arthur's first computer was a 1987 Macintosh SE, a hand-me-down from his father. Disappointed with the lack of gaming software he moved over to an “IBM Compatible” and began his foray into programming, writing batch files to help install multi-floppy disk software for MS-DOS in the late 90's. From there and under the suggestion of his father, a computer engineer, he studied Borland C++, learned Flash (when it was still owned by Macromedia), and built a website for a small automotive tuning company based in Santa Fe Springs, California. His work was featured on Yahoo Geocities, and earned him both the Golden Hubcap Award as well as the Yahoo Geocities Outta Site Award.

In college, he ran a local server, hosting software and school documents. There, under the similar interest of computing technology, he met fellow co-founder Kelly, a dorm hallmate. After college, and with a degree in Biology, he started working in…finance. Initially beginning his career at Citigroup, selling insurance products, he moved to Morgan Stanley Global Wealth Management as a FINRA-registered financial advisor, before becoming a Vice President of Investments at UBS Financial Services. With the collapse of the financial services industry, Arthur started working in real estate development and private equity, before starting ISBX.

Upon joining ISBX, he focused on the company's operations while project managing clients before eventually transitioning into business development, and marketing.

Arthur is an active angel investor, having invested in half a dozen California startups, and is a cryptocurrency enthusiast, writing a number of articles in this space on Forbes and CoinTelegraph. He enjoys a gluten and red meat free diet and pretends to make use of his gym membership. Arthur has since returned to using Mac’s exclusively.
