Rafael Arôxa has held a variety of roles in the tech industry since 2009. In 2009, they were a Software Developer Engineer (Trainee) at FAST - Soluções Tecnológicas, where they optimized Windows Mobile 6 applications with VB.net, developed Rich Web Systems using ASP.NET and MySQL, and developed a multiplatform system with C# for control and real-time visualization and control of mine excavators. In 2010, they were an iOS/Android Developer at FingerTips. In 2011, they were a Senior Android Consultant at ID S/A Identification Technology, where they were part of a team that developed a multi-platform software for work force management. In 2012, they were a Graduate Assistant at the University of Arkansas. In 2013, they were a Senior Mobile Developer at RevUnit, where they worked on mobile applications for clients in Dallas, Little Rock & Northwest Arkansas (NWA) area and was the main developer of Overwatch. In 2014, they were a Senior Software Developer at Human Memory Archive, where they were responsible for all aspects of the product development and software practices for two apps available in Apple’s App Store: Intent and Recapture. In 2017, they were a Lead Mobile Engineer at First Orion. Since 2019, they have been the CTO at iScape | Design Your Outdoor Living.

Rafael Arôxa attended the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco from 2006 to 2011, where they earned a BS in Computer Science. Rafael then went on to the University of Arkansas, where they obtained an MSc. in Computer Science with a focus on Computer Graphics in 2013.
