Belinda Humes Hanson Cmp, Des (Bel)

Belinda (Bel) Humes Hanson, CMP, DES, serves as the Director of Operations and Programs at the International Society for Computational Biology (ISCB) since May 2015, where responsibilities include overseeing the planning and logistical arrangements for international conferences and symposiums. Prior roles at ISCB include Senior Manager, Manager, and Coordinator within the Operations and Programs department, focusing on affiliate conferences and Community of Special Interest (COSI) activities. Earlier experience includes intern roles at The Penn Stater Conference Center and Hotel and a background in event coordination and banquet services. Belinda's military service as a Captain in the US Army included supervising staff and coordinating large-scale events. Belinda holds a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Administration/Management from Penn State University and dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Communication Science Disorders and Human Development from the University of Pittsburgh.
