Hackers Strike! You’ve probably heard it in the news as it’s happening all too frequently. A company’s data, and perhaps automated systems, are being held hostage for a ransom. This is done by hackers who use “ransomware,” which is a software program designed to accomplish this criminal act. Companies have had to pay millions of dollars just to gain access to their data. And the problem is getting worse. Ransomware attacks are growing at an annual rate of 350%. The cost of ransomware attacks is projected to be $11.5 billion worldwide in 2019. Data security breaches can occur at any level within an organization. It can happen, for example, when an employee merely opens an email. ISEC International prides itself in preventing cyber attacks before they happen and also in aggressively and efficiently resolving these unfortunate events when they do occur. The company offers unique perspective on cybersecurity. CEO Ray Guzman has been in the business on both the client and vendor side, and is a 26-year veteran in the field. What is most important, however, is that Mr. Guzman has learned the ins and outs of cybersecurity from the ground up. He worked his way up from a data entry clerk to become a Vice president of IT and C-level executive (CIO) at several prestigious enterprises with domestic and international footprints. Ray is a sought-after, international public speaker and teacher who has covered topics and served on panels related to Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence, Ransomware, Cybersecurity Frameworks and Development of Secure Code among many others. Mr. Guzman and his staff have a in-depth comprehension of software/hardware technologies, cybersecurity for enterprises and regulatory compliance requirements. This translates to a holistic approach to cybersecurity - from cybersecurity governance to IT audit to incident management and response. The result of ISECI’s work is always practical and actionable recommendations that solve problems.
