Amanda Osuagwu has a strong background in legal and compliance roles. Amanda currently holds the position of Director of Legal & Compliance at ISI Emerging Markets Group, where they have been serving since March 2023. Prior to this, they were the Head of Legal & Compliance from February 2022 to March 2023, and the Legal and Compliance Manager from August 2021 to February 2022.

Before joining ISI Emerging Markets Group, Amanda worked at UK Power Networks as a Compliance Programme Manager from October 2018 to August 2021. Amanda'sresponsibilities included implementing a risk-based compliance control framework, developing and implementing a risk-based compliance testing and monitoring program, and fostering a proactive culture towards regulation and legislation.

Amanda also has experience at Arcadia Petroleum Limited, where they held various positions. As a Compliance Officer from November 2016 to November 2017, they monitored and reported on traders' Truphone mobile voice recordings and text messages, as well as provided compliance regulatory advice. Amanda also served as a Trainee Company Secretary, General Counsel, In-House Counsel, and Legal Assistant during their tenure at Arcadia.

Amanda began their legal career as a Trainee Solicitor at Bishop Lloyd & Jackson Solicitors from April 2009 to November 2011. Amanda handled cases in civil litigation, immigration, personal injury, and family law. Prior to this, they also completed a work placement at Percy Short & Cuthbert Solicitors and participated in mini-pupillages at Hardwicke and Cloisters Chambers.

Amanda Osuagwu LLB(Hons), LLM, DipGRC attended Middlesex University from 2002 to 2005, where they obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) with Honours in Law. Amanda then enrolled at the University of Westminster in 2005 and completed the Legal Practice Course (LPC), a postgraduate professional qualification, in 2006. Subsequently, in 2006-2007, Amanda pursued a Masters in Law (LLM) specializing in International Commercial Law at the University of Westminster. Additionally, Amanda obtained several certifications, including the ICA Diploma in Governance Risk & Compliance from the International Compliance Association and the PRINCE2® Foundation and Practitioner Certifications in Project Management from AXELOS Global Best Practice.
