María Carolina Ortega Fonseca has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. María Carolina worked at ISI Emerging Markets Group as an Account Sales Manager for Central America from May 2018 to July 2021, and then transitioned to the role of Head Account Management for Latin America starting in July 2021. Before that, they briefly served as a Sales and Marketing Manager at Tekbees | Developing Innovation in 2018. Prior to that, they worked at Experian as a Product Coordinator from August 2016 to August 2017, where they focused on innovation projects and product marketing. María Carolina'searlier experience includes a role as a Product and Commercial Manager at Helm Bank from February 2012 to December 2014, where they were responsible for strategic planning, marketing campaigns, and achieving profitability targets. María Carolina started their career as a Commercial Development Analyst at Banco de Bogota from February 2010 to January 2012, where they focused on business development and product strategies.

María Carolina Ortega Fonseca pursued their education in a chronological manner. María Carolina began their academic journey by completing a course in negotiation, called "Curso de Negociación Win to Win" at CESA in the year 2020. Prior to that, they enrolled at the Universidad de Los Andes from 2014 to 2015 to pursue a Master's degree in Marketing. María Carolina ultimately obtained a Master's degree in Marketing (Maestría en Mercadeo) during their time at the university.
