Jon Mauer

Jon Mauer, is President and CEO of Island Energy Services and has been serving in that capacity since the formation of the company in late 2016. Prior to his leadership role with Island Energy Services, Mauer served as the General Manager of Chevron’s Hawaiʻi Refinery.

Mauer has more than three decades of experience in the oil industry across the refining, marketing and supply and trading functions. He began his career at Chevron’s Richmond Refinery as an engineer and continued to progress through positions of increasing responsibility. Mauer has served in leadership and management positions with Chevron’s Corporate Investor Relations group, Retail Marketing Logistics, U. S. West Coast Supply and Trading operations, as well as Base Oil Manufacturing and Technology. Mauer previously served for three years as the Refinery Operations Manager at the Kapolei facility.

Mauer currently serves as Chair for the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross, Hawai’i Chapter where he has been a member since 2017 and actively volunteers his time with the organization.

A native of Pacifica, California, Mauer holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of California – Davis. He also holds a MBA from the Haas Business School at the University of California – Berkeley, with an emphasis on strategy and finance.
