Rodney Smith is Chief Financial Officer for Island Energy. Smith has more than three decades of experience in the oil and gas industry with more than 29 years in the downstream sector. He has held various executive positions in which he has led the Accounting, Business Development, Finance, Treasury, Procurement, and Information Technology (IT) functions. Prior to joining Island Energy, Smith was employed by Holly Corporation, Western Refining Company, and Monroe Energy, LLC. Most recently, he has been a partner at midstream and downstream consulting firm Stancil & Co. Smith earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from New Mexico State University. Smith also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas at El Paso.
