Dennis Kim has a diverse work experience in the field of surgery and medical education. Dennis is currently a Clinical Professor of Surgery at The University of British Columbia since November 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Trauma Medical Director at Island Health - Vancouver Island Health Authority starting in November 2021.
From 2012 to 2022, Dennis held multiple roles at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, including Associate Professor of Clinical Surgery, Vice Chair of the College of Applied Anatomy, and Health Sciences Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery.
In 2012, they also worked as a Physician Specialist at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center until March 2022.
Before that, Dennis completed their fellowship training at UCSD Medical Center from 2010 to 2012 and had prior medical training experience at the University of Ottawa as both a Fellow and a Resident Physician from 2003 to 2010.
Dennis Kim received a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from McMaster University in 2003. Prior to that, they attended York University from 1994 to 2000. Dennis completed their secondary education at Brebeuf College School from 1989 to 1994. In 2019, they obtained a Master of Medical Education degree from the University of Dundee.
