Erin Bergen has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning various industries. Erin began their career in 1999 at Canmore General Hospital as a Unit Clerk. Erin then worked as a Physician Assistant at Med Stop Urgent Care from 2001 to 2006. In 2005, they also worked as a Graduate Nurse at Rockyview General Hospital. From 2006 to 2017, Erin served as a Registered Nurse and later as a Clinical Nurse Specialist-Mental Health Program at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. Erin also worked as a Clinical Instructor at Lakehead University from 2009 to 2022.

In 2008, Erin joined Travel Professionals International as a Travel Consultant and stayed with the company until 2018. From 2017 to 2019, they served as the Manager of Clinical Innovation & Client Safety at St. Joseph's Care Group. Erin then worked as a Professor at Confederation College from 2019 to 2023.

Most recently, Erin held the position of Managing Director at Hot Paddle Pizza since 2014. Beginning in 2023, they also assumed the role of Director of Clinical Learning & Knowledge Services at Island Health - Vancouver Island Health Authority.
