Paula Young has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Paula began their career as an Office Manager at ABC Communications in 2001 before transitioning to a Project Manager/Consultant role at their own company, Paula Young, in 2003. In 2007, they joined Northern Health Authority as a Regional Telehealth Manager, a role they held until 2011. From 2011 to 2016, Paula worked at Fraser Health in various positions including Director of Clinical Operations for Home Health and Home Support, Director of Clinical Operations for PHC, and Director of Infrastructure for primary health care. Most recently, they have been working at Island Health - Vancouver Island Health Authority, where they started as a Senior Project Manager in 2018 and currently holds the position of Project Director for Virtual Care.
Paula Young obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography from the University of Victoria in the years 1988 to 1992. Later, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) during the years 2007 to 2009.
